Posting Your Ride
Log in to Your Account:
Visit ridemates.com.au and log in using your email and password.
Click on "Post a Ride":
Once logged in, click on the Post a Ride button. This will bring up the page where you can enter the details of your ride.
Enter Your Departure Information:
What is your departing address?: Click on the Leaving from field and enter the address you will be departing from. Make sure to select the correct address from the dropdown list that appears.
Enter Your Destination:
Where are you going?: Click on the Going to field and enter your destination address. Again, select the correct address from the dropdown list.
Journey Display and Departure Details
View the Journey on the Map:
Once you select your From and To addresses, RideMates will automatically display the journey on the map. This will show you the estimated distance and travel time for your trip.
Select the Departure Date:
When are you leaving?: Choose your departure date by selecting the appropriate day from the calendar.
Set the Meeting Time:
What time should passengers meet you?: Use the time picker to set the exact time you want passengers to meet you for the ride.
Setting the Price per Seat
Set the Price per Seat:
Price per Seat: The system will suggest a recommended price per seat, but you have the option to adjust this price by clicking on the + or – buttons.
Cost Calculation Explained:
RideMates automatically calculates the recommended price per seat using a formula that considers:
Fuel Cost per Liter
Fuel Efficiency
Maintenance Cost per Kilometer
The calculation factors in the estimated distance and travel time, generating a fair price per seat that covers costs and ensures competitiveness in the market.

While you can adjust the price per seat, we highly recommend staying within the suggested price range to maximize your chances of getting bookings. The recommended range is designed to be both fair for you as a driver and attractive to potential passengers.
Choose the Number of Available Seats:
How many seats are available?: Select the number of seats you have available in your vehicle by clicking on the appropriate number (1-5).
Add a Note (Optional):
Note (optional): If you have any additional information to share with potential passengers (e.g., limited space for luggage, flexible meeting time), you can add it in the Note field.
Post Your Ride:
Once all the details are filled out, click on the Post Ride button to make your ride available to others.
